You can use any loose-fitting, long sleeve shirt for this, but I used a man's shirt since my button-ups are fitted. I think the 'shkirt' is too big and long for my frame, but at least I don't have to worry about indecent exposure when bending over to pick up the Bitty. Love this pop of color for the end of summer and the comfort of a stretch poplin! *Style Tip: Wear it as a high waist skirt and tie it at the skinniest part of your torso (even if that's not your natural waist) so it doesn't add bulk to your hips.

Oh my word, this has seriously TRANSFORMED my entire closet and doubled my skirt wardrobe! I was so excited after I read this that I texted all of my crafty friends and tried it out on three of my dad's and brother's shirt. What a great idea! And it's true, if you tuck a fitted shirt in, bring the waist up high, and knot the sleeves tightly, it does not look frumpy AT ALL. It looks super chic and preppy. Wearing a plaid one to school today :) Thanks for the great idea!
